Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the iOS and iPadOS mobile application Beam ("App") provided by Code2066 ("we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 17 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. License to Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal or commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may NOT:
- Modify, reverse-engineer, or disassemble the App.
- Use it for illegal purposes.
- Distribute or share the App without permission.
3. App Functionality
The App allows you to create, view, edit, print, email, or SMS-share documents like estimates, work orders, and invoices. No registration is required. All user data is stored locally on your device and synchronized via your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit technology. We do not store, access, manage, or control your data at any time. Data synchronization and storage are entirely managed by Apple through iCloud and CloudKit; therefore, we are not responsible for any synchronization errors, data loss, delays, or failures arising from Apple's services, your iCloud account configuration, or insufficient iCloud storage. You may access the camera, contacts, and photo gallery with your permission to enhance documents. The App includes web views to third-party AI services (ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, Claude, Copilot). Use of these is subject to their terms; we are not responsible for their content or availability.
4. Subscription
The App offers three auto-renewable subscription plans: Weekly, Monthly, and Annual. All three plans unlock the exact same features—the only difference is the billing cycle and price. Prices are displayed within the App at the time of purchase. All subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchases. Free tier: You can create up to 8 documents completely free without a subscription. After reaching the 8-document limit, a subscription is required to continue creating new documents. Premium benefits: Unlimited creation and editing of documents, unlimited PDF sharing (email, SMS, share), printing, and full access to all app features with CloudKit synchronization across your devices (iPhone, iPad). Without subscription: After reaching the free limit, your existing documents remain accessible for viewing only. You will not be able to edit, print, send, share, or make any changes to them. To regain full access to your documents and create new ones, a subscription is required. Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled. Cancellation: Cancel anytime via your Apple ID settings > Subscriptions. No partial refunds are offered. Payments: Handled entirely by Apple; we do not access your payment details. All sales are final, with refunds subject to Apple's policies. Family Sharing: Subscriptions are not shareable through Apple's Family Sharing.
5. User Content
All documents and data you create are stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to, store, or process your data on our servers. Synchronization is performed automatically by Apple's CloudKit service. You are solely responsible for maintaining adequate iCloud storage, ensuring your iCloud account is properly configured, and backing up your data. We are not liable for any loss, corruption, or unavailability of your data resulting from iCloud synchronization issues, Apple service outages, device failures, or any other cause beyond our control. You are responsible for your content and must not create illegal or infringing material.
6. Intellectual Property
The App and its content are owned by us or our licensors. You do not acquire ownership rights.
7. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We expressly disclaim all liability for any loss, corruption, deletion, or unavailability of user data, as all data is stored in your personal iCloud account and managed entirely by Apple. We are not responsible for any errors, interruptions, or failures in data synchronization through CloudKit or iCloud, including but not limited to data loss caused by insufficient iCloud storage, Apple service outages, network issues, device malfunctions, or software updates. Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount of subscription fees you have actually paid.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States. Disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Puerto Rico.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be notified via the App. Continued use implies acceptance.
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
12. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Code2066 regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
